Stockholm Pride 2026 — the complete Queer Stockholm guide

Stockholm Pride 2026 runs from Tuesday July 28 to Sunday August 2, with the main Pride Parade on Saturday August 1. It's the largest Pride festival in the Nordics — and the single best week of the year to experience the city's queer life.

Major changes in 2026 — even regulars need to read this

Stockholm Pride looks very different this year. If you've been to Pride before, don't go on autopilot — both the festival site and the parade route have moved. The two headlines:

  • Pride Park is gone. The festival site has moved from Östermalms IP to Slakthusområdet and been rebranded Pride District.
  • The parade route has changed — see the map below.

The information given on this page is unofficial and based purely on publicly available information and from data available on the Queer Stockholm platform. For official information regarding Stockholm Pride, please visit https://www.stockholmpride.org/.

The new parade route (Saturday August 1)

The 2026 parade follows a brand-new route through central Stockholm, starting along Norr Mälarstrand on Kungsholmen, crossing over to Klarabergsviadukten (Central Station) and Sergels torg, then down past Kungsträdgården and Skeppsbron before finishing at Slussen. If you've watched the parade in previous years from your usual spot, double-check the map — it may no longer pass by.

Pride District — the festival has moved

The festival site that was known as Pride Park at Östermalms IP has moved south to Slakthusområdet (the old meatpacking district, now a fast-growing cultural quarter) and been renamed Pride District. It sits in southern Stockholm right next to Globen — take the green line (tunnelbana) to Globen or Enskede gård, both are walking distance. Pride District is ticket-based: pick up a day pass or a week pass in advance — they tend to sell out closer to the festival.

What to do during Pride Week

  • Pride District (new!) — the festival site at Slakthusområdet with daytime programming, talks, music and the community village. Day passes available in advance.
  • The Parade (Saturday August 1) — the biggest single event of the week, on a new route this year (see the map above). Join a float, march with a community group, or pick a spot along the new route.
  • Club nights — Stockholm's queer club promoters (Moxy, Lilith, Flatmates, Hera, Hotellhänget and more) all program their biggest nights of the year during Pride week. See our gay clubs guide and sapphic club nights.
  • Bars — every queer bar in town runs an extended Pride program. See the full gay bars in Stockholm list and our lesbian bars guide.
  • Södermalm — Stockholm's most queer-dense neighbourhood. See our Södermalm queer guide.

Practical tips for visitors

  • Book accommodation early — Stockholm fills up months ahead of Pride weekend.
  • The metro (T-bana) and trams run frequently and are the fastest way around during Pride.
  • Sweden is generally very LGBTQ+ friendly — Stockholm even more so. Public displays of affection are unremarkable across the central city.
  • Check our LGBTQ+ guide to Stockholm for visitor basics: neighbourhoods, safety, history and etiquette.
